ROBERT M. GILBERT
Mr. Gilbert is Managing Director, Security Intelligence, with International
Risk Intelligence LLC. Prior to joining IRI, he had been
Senior Security Consultant & Security Project Manager, U.S. Department
of Education, responsible for all
security planning and operations, crisis management and disaster
recovery plus training planning and
supervision. Earlier, he was Director of Special Investigations,
Standard Insurance Company, heading all investigations
programs, anti-fraud prevention, and government compliance. He was
Supervisor of Special Investigations Unit, Conseco Inc.,
overseeing special investigations, anti-fraud, financial crime prevention,
and compliance
enforcement. Earlier, he had been Director of Corporate Security,
Alcan Aluminium Corporation; and Manager, Corporate
Security & Safety,
Data General Corporation. Mr. Gilbert has extensive
international military security and investigations experience. He
was Chief of Security Police and Squadron Commander United
States Air Force Strategic Air Command. He was also an
Instructor, USAF
Security Police Academy where he developed and
taught several new professional courses. He
is also former Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice,
Mansfield State College. Mr. Gilbert has worked
extensively with the CIA, FBI, US Secret
Service, Department of Defense, Department of Education, and FEMA,
both domestic and international. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner
(CFE) and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He has been
involved with Anti-Terrorism, Brookings Institution,
Washington, DC; and the Computer Security Training Program, George
Washington University School of Advanced Engineering. He
has worked with the Department of Defense Industrial Security
Program in Management
of Classified
Information, and he is a contributing author, Handbook
of Management for the Growing Business. He is a member of the
Association of Former Intelligence Officers. Mr. Gilbert has a BS
in Police Science and Administration from California
State University, Los Angeles;
and he is a graduate of the United States Air
Force Officer Training School and Security Police
Academy (valedictorian).
